Also taught Byzantine and modern history. Organized educational trips to Italy, particularly visiting the libraries in Rome and Bari. The results of my research cluded a series of articles and presentation at conferences regarding the presence of Greeks in Italy, and the political and religious life in Italy, from Byzantine to modern times.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS
2018- Coordinator of the project: Multilevel Documentation of Religious Sites and Historical Complexes, with the acronym METEORA, funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness – Entrepreneurship - Innovation, in the Action Research, Create, Innovate”. Program commencement date: 25/7/2018.
2015-2018 Participant of the program Hierarchs of the Church of America in the 20thcentury and their dialogue with the modern world, of the Research Committee of AUTH.
2011- Facilitator of the Postgraduate Research Program, of the Theological Faculties of Thessalonica and Athens, Studium Historicorum Ecclesiasticorum. Conferences are held each year. During the last four years the conferences were devoted to the presence of Hellenism and Orthodoxy in Italy. This year’s conference is dedicated to Venice (see the program of the conference).

Historical – Theological Literature, prepared by the Department of History, Doctrine, Inter- Christian and Inter-Orthodox Relations of the School of Pastoral and Social Theology, of the Faculty of Theology of AUTH, in collaboration with the Research Committee of the same University. The outcome of the Program was the book, The Course of Study of Ecclesiastical History in Greece from 1833 to today, Thessalonica 2002.
1987-1991 Member of the Program Mount Athos – Macedonia – Northern Greece, Greek Cultural Heritage, Institutions in the Balkans during the 19th Century, under The supervision of the Institute of Research and Technology, of the Ministry of Industry, designed by the Department History, Doctrine, Inter-Christian and Inter-Orthodox Relations of the School of Pastoral and Social Theology, of the Faculty of Theology of AUTH.
1984-1985 Moderator of the University Program for Students on The Spiritual Culture of Olympus during the Period of Turkish Rule, Orthodoxy in the Balkan Peninsula, Historical-Theological Literature, under the supervision of the Institute of Research and Technology and commissioned by the Department History, Doctrine, Inter-Christian and Inter-Orthodox Relations of the School of Pastoral and Social Theology, of the Faculty of Theology of AUTH. The discoveries of this project were presented at the Third National Conference Olympus in the life of Greeks, which took place in Elasssona in 1986.
